It's National Volunteer Appreciation Month!
April is National Volunteer Appreciate Month and we are incredibly grateful for our volunteers at LLS! Our volunteers dedicate their time and services to our center, clients, and community. They do behind the scenes work that includes trainings, webinars, at-home scheduling, and so much more. In the pregnancy center line of work, prayer is also a necessity. Our volunteers must stay prayerful and ready for the needs of our clients at all times. Some even come in on an unscheduled day at a moment's notice. Our volunteers are dedicated to serving our community!
According to the National Day Calendar, volunteers can serve the community in many ways:
- Fire and ambulance departments
- Senior care living
- Suicide hotlines
- Soup kitchens/homeless ministries
- American Red Cross
- & so much more![1]
Pregnancy centers could not provide optimal care and outreach without the selfless work of volunteers. Lives are changed at LLS because of the hard work and dedication of our volunteers!
The Scripture below reminds us that we are all given different kinds of gifts and were created to serve in different ways. The receptionist at the office is just as vital to the work as the director or the nurse. The volunteers who work the baby shop and sort through diapers are equally as vital to the mission as the client coach. The treasurer is just as vital as the sonographer. Together, as the body of Christ, we work to fulfill the mission of Life Line Sampson.

This task is something we could NEVER accomplish on a solo mission. We need all members of the body and all hands on deck!
Our volunteers model our mission statement at LLS and to our community. They assist our clients in making life-affirming decisions, share unconditional love wherever they go, and provide ongoing support to our clients and families.
A motto we like to say is, "When you come to Life Line Sampson, you become family." Our volunteers help us create this environment. When you come see us at LLS, you are family!
